Gynecomastia Prices

Gynecomastia surgery prices vary depending on the surgeon performing the procedure and the hospital, and are determined after the patient’s examination.

Gynecomastia is the rapid enlargement of male breasts, giving them feminine characteristics, due to the reasons we will explain below. The causes of this condition are generally hormonal changes, stress, and psychological issues. This growth usually occurs as a result of rapid fat accumulation and development in the chest following changes in the hormones secreted by the body. However, as commonly known, the development of male chest muscles cannot be classified as gynecomastia.

Jinekomasti

Gynecomastia mostly occurs due to hormones or the side effects of certain medications. During puberty, when hormonal changes are most common in males, it is seen in approximately 40% of boys. As the body continues to develop during adolescence, it is estimated that around 65% of teenage boys may experience gynecomastia. After puberty, most of these cases resolve on their own as the body’s hormone levels stabilize. Persistent gynecomastia after adolescence is usually observed in cases where the chest has a feminine appearance due to fat accumulation, which cannot be reduced even after losing weight.

Correction or treatment of gynecomastia generally involves monitoring weight, medications, and hormone levels while expecting the condition to resolve naturally within two to four years. However, in cases where gynecomastia does not resolve on its own, surgery is the only solution.

This surgery is performed after determining which tissue has grown, identifying the hormonal cause, and assessing the degree of growth. Preoperative diets may be implemented, and during surgery, the excess tissue previously identified is excised. This technique is applied only in cases of glandular tissue enlargement. In cases of excessive fat accumulation or fat deposits formed after weight gain, gynecomastia treatment is performed with liposuction. However, to prevent sagging due to fat removal, additional skin-tightening procedures are often performed alongside the surgery.
