Understanding Rhinoplasty

The nose is an organ with both functional (smelling, breathing) and aesthetic roles, composed of skin, mucosa, nerves, blood vessels, bone, and cartilage within a very small space. It gives our face its characteristic features. Being located at the center of the face, performing surgery on this organ requires skill, experience, a deep understanding of aesthetics, and the ability to think in three dimensions.

World-renowned American plastic surgeon Rollin Daniel discusses the first 100 rhinoplasty cases in his book Rhinoplasty. According to him, performing at least 100 rhinoplasties is necessary to gain an average level of experience in this field. If we are talking about more complex and challenging noses, this experience must be at an even higher level.

Rhinoplasty surgery is:

  • Not simple and requires a complex technique.
  • Not solvable with a single method for all noses.
  • Not something one becomes experienced in quickly or easily; experience increases gradually with the number of surgeries performed.
  • A comprehensive process that includes preoperative planning, surgery, and postoperative care, all of which must be executed perfectly to achieve a good result.

Even with all this experience, planning, precision, and the ability to think in three dimensions, rhinoplasty carries certain risks. What is important is that these risks remain low and, if a complication occurs, your surgeon is capable of correcting it.

Why Rhinoplasty?

The goal of rhinoplasty is to correct the nose’s:

  • Shape
  • Size
  • Disharmony with the face
  • Congenital deformities
  • Trauma-related deformities
  • Breathing problems

Rhinoplasty Costs

Rhinoplasty is not a single-type procedure; it is customized according to the patient and the specific issues with their nose. For example, one patient may require the removal of a bony hump, while another may only need the tip of the nose lifted.

Therefore, rhinoplasty does not have a fixed price. Although most of our patients undergo similar procedures, due to current regulations we cannot provide specific pricing information online.
