EVALUATION FOR FACELIFT

Patient is evaluated on visit to clinic in detail and all the pros and cons of procedures are explained to patient along with evaluation of co mordibidites like hypertension, ischemic heart disease, smoking and other active issues.

FACELIFT PROCEDURE

Patient is advise to stop smoking, NSAIDs drugs, disprin and other anticoagulant drugs which effect on bleeding. 2 week before surgery. Blood pressure should be optimised before surgery. This procedure is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. It is a day case surgery procedure.

• Marking is done

• SMAS dissection is done. Plication or resection is done of SMAS.
• Extra skin is excised and wound is closed
• Dressing done

POST OPERATIVE CARE

Patient is advised to take rest for two to three days with head elevation. And ice packing is advised to decrease swelling. Stitches are removed by 5-7 days. Initial results are obtained at the time of surgery. Swelling is settle in about 2-3 week with complete resolution in 3-6 weeks. Bruising is improved in about one week. Post operative scar is minimally visible after a time of 3-6 months.
