Hollowness is seen in the eyelid area also. This problem is of significant concern for society especially females.
EVALUATION
Both upper and lower eyelids are evaluated in detail in clinical visit.any associated underlying problem is present is seen in detail. These associated problem can complicate the procedure and outcome.in evaluation it include for ptosis, dry eyes,conjunctivitis, exophthalmos, enopthalmos etc.any co morbid condition is also evaluated and addressed accordingly.
PROCEDURE
Blephroplasty / eyelids surgery is performed under local anaesthesia with sedation. Patient eyelids are closed and marking done. After this local is infiltrated and waited for anaesthesia effect. Surgery is performed. Excesse skin is removed and underlying fat redistributed.goal of eyelids surgery is to give youthful appearance to both upper and lower eyelids. It also include preserving the natural shape and appearance.Bleohroplasty can be combined with face lift surgery also.
COMPLICATIONS
In experienced hands complications are minimal. It includes swelling, bruising, edema, decrease movement of eyelids, double vision, these complications are not significant and are improved in few days to weeks with conservative management.
OUTCOME
Blephroplasty has good results. Initially for few days steristrips are applied for few days and stitches are removed after 5 days. After that scar treatment is started. Good results are achieved when edema and bruising are settled. It can be observed in few weeks to 2-3 months. Scar of surgery is hidden in eyelid crease and not visible after some time.
COST OF EYELID SURGERY
